My husband died in 2008. I wrote a book about my first year as a widow doing all those things I never thought I'd do again. "The Unfaithful Widow" was a finalist in the women's issues category of the 2011 USA Best Books Awards. Not your typical widow book, I set out to find my place with the help of a vintage Corvette, bad dates leading me to good things, a bevy of dogs, and the best gal friends in the world.

I write on many sites including skirt.com, Silver & Grace (in Canada) and am a regular blogger on Lifetime Television's online site for their morning program, The Balancing Act.

I have started a writers guild, critique group, and sell antiques in a lovely town outside of Atlanta that is very old south in feel.

I also write under the header "Writer With Dogs" and am working on my dog book, being single living with a pack. A sequel to my widow book will be released late summer.

Life is full of promise every day, you just have to be open to new adventures!
